Master Trainer's Orientation

Master Trainers’ Orientation is a six-month on-campus training for graduates who are sent by churches and missions. Those who wish to receive a B.Th. degree (in partnership with SAIACS, Bangalore and accredited by Asia Theological Association) need to do additional courses online for 2 ½ years.

Concept:

We partner with churches and mission organizations to train Master Trainers, who in turn will train grassroots workers in holistic (spiritual, social and economic) development. Thus, we ensure multiple effect, wider impact, and broader benefit throughout the country.

Purpose:

The purpose is to train Master Trainers deputed by churches and missions and equip them to train grass-roots level harvesters across India and Nepal. We also provide them with training in simple technologies to make them self-sustained missionaries and effectively transfer the technologies to the harvesters.

Curriculum:

  • Cultural Anthropology
  • Cross-cultural communication
  • Missiology of people groups
  • Bible study and exposition skills,
  • Kingdom Principles
  • Holistic Gospel

Apart from the above mandatory subjects, the Master Trainers are given training in 30+ appropriate technologies and computer applications, and can select any two of the following electives offered as guided studies.

  • Urban Ministry
  • Ministry to the high-risk people
  • Campus ministry
  • Holistic development through Micro-credit groups

With a collaborative approach, Master Trainers are recruited from different churches and missions. They are oriented for nine months with seven months of residence interspersed with two months of field research.

Training is given by TENT faculty and eminent resource persons from India and other countries in the above subjects. The method of teaching is non-formal through seminars and workshops.
