IWILL (Indian Women In Lord’s Labour)
Master Trainer Orientation
The Master Trainer Orientation is a program which is a six month version of the JVI Master Trainer Orientation for women.
Concept
The idea is to train women Master Trainers who, in their turn, will train grassroots workers in holistic, spiritual, social and economic development. Thus we ensure a multiple effect and make a wider impact, benefiting more people in many parts of the country.
Purpose
The purpose is to orient Master Trainers deputed by churches and missions in unreached people groups approach and to equip them to train grass-roots level harvesters to reach unreached people groups. We also train them with simple technologies to make them self-sustained missionaries and to effectively transfer the technologies to the harvesters.
Curriculum
We train them in 6 relevant subjects, viz. Anthropology, Missiology, Cross-cultural communication, Bible study skills, Holistic Gospel. They are also trained in 30 plus appropriate technologies and computer applications.
Method
Master Trainers are recruited from different churches and missions. They are oriented for six months with two months of residence interspersed with spells of fieldwork. Orientation is given by TENT faculty and eminent resource persons from India and other countries in the above subjects. The method of teaching is non-formal through seminars and workshops.
Harvester Orientation
The Harvest Orientation is a one month program for grassroots level women workers. This training focuses on simple contextual technology and self-help groups.
Concept
The Harvest Orientation is to train grass-roots level women on the Carmel campus, to bring transformation in their communities. The women trained in turn would start WEDGEs (Women Empowerment and Development Group Enterprises.)
Purpose
The purpose is to train Harvesters in simple gospel communication skills, and development skills, and mould them into agents of change through WEDGEs.
Curriculum
The primary topics we teach to our students include Micro-enterprise, formation of WEDGEs, 30 contextual technologies with focus on women’s challenges and needs, and communication skills.
Method
Mission leaders select 20 grass-roots women leaders from different villages and send them for one-month orientation with IWILL. They will be accompanied by one interpreter. They are given training in simple gospel communication skills and hands-on training in simple technologies with field exposure visits to micro enterprises.
