JVI (Joshua Vision India)

Joshua Vision India’s Master Trainer Orientation is a program for the men in TENT Ministry. It is a one year orientation program for theologically trained men, deputed by churches and mission organizations, who in turn train the Harvesters in communication skills and simple contextual technologies in order to reach the more than 4000 unreached people groups in India.

Concept
The idea is to train Master Trainers who, in their turn, will train grassroots workers in holistic-spiritual, social and economic-development. Thus we ensure a multiple effect and make a wider impact, benefiting more people in many parts of the country.

Purpose
The purpose is to orient Master Trainers deputed by churches and missions in unreached people groups approach and to equip them to train grass-roots level harvesters to reach unreached people groups. We also train them with simple technologies to make them self-sustained missionaries and to effectively transfer the technologies to the harvesters.

Curriculum
The essential lessons we want to teach to the students are Anthropology, Missiology, Cross-cultural communication, Bible study skills, and Holistic Gospel. In addition to teaching the Gospel, they are also trained in 30 plus contextual technologies, and computer applications.

Method
Master Trainers are recruited from different churches and missions. They are oriented for one year with six months of residence interspersed with spells of fieldwork. Orientation is given by TENT faculty and eminent resource persons from India and other countries in the subjects shown above. The method of teaching is non-formal through seminars and workshops.
